Joomla 3.6.4 is an important security release which should be applied to all Joomla sites.
Joomla 3.6.1 has been released, and is a security release that includes 3 low level security fixes, plus a number of bug fixes.
NOTE: 3.6.1 introduced a CSRF token check to the Joomla! Update, so you may experience "invalid security token" while upgrading. Database fix will solve.

The Joomla! Project and the Production Leadership Team are proud to announce the release of Joomla! 3.6 as the latest in the 3.x series.
Joomla! 3.6 introduces more than 400 improvements, including many features which make administration of Joomla! Web sites easier and more feature-rich, as well as many UX (user experience) improvements.
Joomla! 3 is the latest major release of the Joomla! CMS, with 3.6 the seventh standard-term support release in this series. Please note that going from 3.5 to 3.6 is a one-click update and is not a migration. The same is true for any subsequent versions in the 3 series of the CMS.
What's new in Joomla! 3.6
Here are some highlights of the 3.6 release:
It's taken us a long time but we've finally done it! We think you will all agree that the new design of Joomla! Australia is a significant improvement over the previous site and will help make it a much more valuable, relevant resource for the Australian Joomla community. A big thank you to everyone involved.
We now have a community showcase, so we encourage you to show off what you have done with Joomla in Australia. Our events section automatically streams the JUG meeting details from meetup, so you can easily see in one place all the Joomla events that are happening around Australia. We are going to start having a regular email newsletter, so don't forget to sign up so you can hear all the great news of coming out of the Australian community.
