Please RSVP via Meetup www.meetup.com/melbournejug/events/245329479/

This month we're focussing on real-world solutions. We welcome Michael Scruse, a "long-time Joomla user, first-time MJUG presenter" to talk about some of the sites his company has built and some of the ways they have achieved specific solutions for clients, including a couple of Custom Fields and an outline of his favourite Joomla components. Following that, James Ashworth has been looking into Custom Fields in a bit more detail, and will take us through what he has discovered. Should be a great session!

Free beer and pizza will be provided by our sponsor (tba shortly).

This event will be livestreamed to Facebook - please join us! www.facebook.com/JoomlaAu/

6:30-7:30pm - Topic 1: Michael Scruse of Mity Digital www.mity.com.au/ will talk about some of their projects, where different features have been used to meet each client's needs. This will include some examples of how Custom Fields have been used to achieve particular outcomes, and an outline of Michael's favourite Joomla components which Mity use on most sites.

7.30-8.30pm - Topic 2: James Ashworth will go through the basics of custom fields in Joomla, with a brief look at how they work in both Joomla 3 and Joomla 4. Depending on time, he will then demonstrate some ways of extending the functionality of custom fields with some of the new plugins that are now available, both on the JED and on Github.

All welcome, beginners-advanced.
