Hi,

I'm a new Joomla user and definitely still learning......

I am struggling to add new users to our site.

I am able to edit and delete users however no orange "New" button shows on my toolbar( see attached image)

I have all groups ticked, except Super User..... Do I need SuperUser to add new users ?

Is there a quick fix for this please ?

By default, Administrators should be able to add a new user.

In Users -> User Manager, click on the "Options" button at the top right hand corner of the page, go to the Permissions tab and check that the Administrator Group has "Allowed" or "Inherited" permission for the Create action.

I'll spare you the obligatory "you should migrate to Joomla 3.x" lecture in the meantime.

Sounds like a permission issue. You might need to log in as a super user to be able to add a new user. Depends on how the permissions have been configured for your site as to who can see the new button.
By the way, it looks like you are using an old Joomla version (Joomla 2.5 series), I suggest you upgrade to Joomla 3 which is the current supported release.

I checked and yes "Create" does show as "Allowed" for me

The screenshot looks like it comes from J! 2.5 (the "Hathor" template). If we are discussing J! 3.x, please do not use the Hathor template; this template (and the functionality that accompanies it) has not been maintained for over two years. If we are discussing J! 3.x then use the Isis template.

If we are discussing J! 2.5 then we have bigger problems than not having a "create new user" button.

Please confirm what version of J! is being used. Thanks.
