Local Joomla User Groups (JUGs) are a great way to meet new people, get help with a project or share your own knowledge with other Joomla users. There are many JUGs around Australia - some a little more active than others - full of enthusiastic people willing to share their experience and resource.
You do not need any special qualifications to join; JUGs include people who are beginners as well as those who have been using Joomla for years. The Joomla Community website has some useful information regarding Joomla User Groups.
Australian Virtual Joomla User Group
Joomal Australia hosts a monthly virtual user group via Zoom, being held on the second Tuesday each month.
To help with managing that, as well as promoting other Joomla events from arount the world, we invite you to join the new JoomlaAu Meetup.

Local Joomla User Groups
Joomla Australia's local groups occasionally run social events in these cities.
If there is no JUG in your area then why not start your own group? You don't need to be a Joomla expert; you just need to be enthusiastic, find a suitable venue and arrange your first get-together. Also, if you are considering starting a group, post about it on our forum and you will be able to connect with other community members who can help you out.
